Hoisin-Glazed Salmon | Recipe | Quick & Easy

I'll be honest.  I'd pick a juicy burger over salmon any day of the week and twice on Tuesdays.  But the simple fact remains that salmon is low in calories and saturated fat, and high in protein and Omega-3 fatty acids.

As a result, I've made it point to cook and eat more salmon.  And you know what?  I've grown to like it!  This is one of my favorite salmon recipes.  Not only is it flavorful and easy, but best of all, healthy!


Hoisin-Glazed Salmon Recipe
Yields: 2 salmon fillets

1 lb skinless salmon, cut into two fillets
1 Tbsp dijon mustard
1 Tbsp hoisin sauce
1 Tbsp maple syrup

1. Place salmon on foil-lined baking sheet.
2. Mix together mustard, hoisin sauce and maple syrup to create glaze.  Using a basting brush, coat salmon on both sides, using half of the glaze.  Set aside reserved glaze.
3. Turn on broiler. Broil for 7 minutes.  Remove from broiler and baste top; Flip fillets over and baste bottom.  Place back in broiler for another 7 minutes, or until fish flakes easily when tested with a fork.

Serve with "Chipotle" Basmati Rice and Tahini and Ginger Sugar Snap Peas.

BROILER TIP:  To ensure propering broiling, food should always be 5" from the heat source.
